HELLO,

a bit about me:

I'm a postdoctoral researcher at the Parthenope University of Naples, Department of Science and Technology. My research focuses on Classical Cepheids, pulsating stars which act as beacons for understanding the obscured regions in our own Galaxy and in farther galaxies. I am passionate about Cepheids because they allow me to explore many interesting scientific topics, from Galactic Astronomy to Cosmology. Give a look to my projects to have a taste of the topics I am most involved with!

UPCOMING EVENTS

I will be joining the great team of Futuro Remoto for the Science festival in Naples: watch this event out at http://www.cittadellascienza.it/futuroremoto/

LATEST PUBLICATIONS

The latest paper I contributed to is now published on the Astrophysical Journal: Chemical Compositions of Field and Globular Cluster RR Lyrae Stars. II. ω Centauri. In this paper,  we identified a group of Yttrium enriched RR Lyrae stars in this Globular Cluster which have no counterpart in the Milky Way halo population

RECENT PROJECT

My currently most exciting project is working with Machine Learning to identify Cepheids in time-domani all-sky synoptic surveys.
